A spoken word artist, he says: “There are moments speaking poems when windows, doors, walls blow off, and I am in a warm, boundless space with whoever is listening.” Martin served as Portland Maine's First Poet Laureate 2007-09..” He is also Author of a chapbook and award-winning ensemble performance work, The Thinking Heart: The Life & Loves of Etty Hillesum, in which he also performed, throughout New England and abroad, in Poland and Belgium, for a 100th anniversary celebration of Hillesum’s birth. MARJORIE MAGID fell in love with painting about 15 years ago and she hasn’t stopped since. An ardent Francophile and former French teacher and real estate broker, Marjorie enjoys film, opera, gardening and traveling to exotic locations, which often serve as inspiration for her art. Marjorie has exhibited often at the Emerge Gallery in Saugerties, ASK in Kingston, and Woodstock-Byrdcliffe, where she currently has a painting in the Members Show. She had a virtual solo show called Whimsical: The Art of Marjorie Magid on artsy.net and her paintings can often be seen in shops around Saugerties. For the last several years she has participated in the Saugerties Artist Studio Tour. Her art is figurative but not realistic and is filled with color, movement, humor.

ALYSSA ROLLO BENNETT (aka ARB) returns to music as a form of storytelling along with filmmaking, the medium in which she continues to work as a director, writer and producer. Her journey in music began with guitar and piano, and she sang with a rock group in college. Composing music and writing lyrics has become an oasis as reflected in her songs and debut album ANYMORE which was released on all platforms in May 2022 to critical acclaim. Joining The Yesters, as a collaborator and lead singer along with Gary O. Bennett, Ed Kuri, Graham Orbe & Liam Kerekes, the band released their first track Kingston City Morgue & music video.  A new song Billy Blue is soon to be released. Alyssa has three new soon to be released singles that premiered live at The Bitter End, July 21, 2023.

From ANYMORE, produced & arranged by Kevin Kendrick, tracks Call Me Petty premiered on B-Sides & Badlands in Fall 2020: Rollo Bennett’s fang-toothed bite swims in a foamy sea of electric guitars that ring out as a rally to push her onward through the terrain.” And All Day, premiered on Surviving The Golden Age: ARB reminds me of Nina Gordon from Veruca Salt; fairly clean but have just enough punk sneer…. a perfect pandemic anthem… combines elements of 90s alternative and pop punk to create an energetic mix, featuring crunchy guitars, driving drums.”

The fluid, diverse indie rock storytelling of Pinch That Vein feels like a movie you want to watch.” —American Pancake
